I'm not super familiar with Lucinda Williams' work. I have an album of hers from the 90's that I like. I was reminded of her b/c of a recent feature in the NYTimes: Lucinda Williams tells her secrets . This is one of her best tear-jerkers:

Lucinda Williams was really great. I have a CD of hers "Sweet Old World". A song that recognizes we are all getting older...... I believe I saw her on Austin City Limits. She was friends and a co-singer with people like Karla Bonoff and Linda Ronstadt if I remember. Grammy winning "Car Wheels on a Gravel Road" from Austin City Limits https://www.google.com/search?q=lucinda+williamas+car+wheels+on+a+Gravel+Road&rlz=1C5CHFA_enUS927US927&oq=lucinda+williamas+car+wheels+on+a+Gravel+Road&aqs=chrome..69i57j0i13i512l6j0i22i30l3.15904j0j4&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:e80cdd55,vid:7tUzhodl_rw

The CD "Californian Soil" by London Grammar keeps growing on me; it reached #1 in Great Britain. I purchased it today. The Song "America" is powerful and displays the immense talents of Hannah Reid.

Been hearing some more new stuff from Eilen Jewell, liking all of it. The second song kinda rocks.

Another Pandora discovery for me. Apparently this band had already come and gone before I was ever aware of them. 2 sisters from the UK are the heart of the band.

Kind of in the same vein. The part around 3:00 sounds like it's straight out of a Disney movie, like Enchanted maybe.

Have you listened to some of their earlier stuff? It's kind of hit and miss for me, but the songs I like, I like a lot. Hey Now, Strong, Oh Woman Oh Man, and Non Believer are my favorites from their first 2 albums.

I've listened to some of their songs recently and the one I really like is "Wasting My Young Years". Basically, I like anything that features the clarion clear voice of Hannah Reid. Her voice is pretty unique. Californian soil features her voice in beautiful and powerful ways; so I really like the album.

I love this new song. It is one of a pair of new Freya Ridings' that have writing and voice reminiscent of Joni Mitchell at the apex of her career. Freya Ridings "Bite Me"

For almost 2 week now. Along with the Irish rovers and Harry Chapin. That was the music being played in our house when I was growing up. My current go to artist is nati dredd. I really like her new song 'older', but its not linkable but its on Spotify.

Yeah I like that one too. First time I heard it was in a French movie. I knew I recognized the voice, but I just couldn't place it so I had to watch the credits to see who sang it.

I just discovered this band. Great vocalist, and something fresh (for me). This one is from their upcoming album:
And these two are from their previous one:
