Often covered song, this is a slow burn that gets sizzling after a while.

This is a mellow rock song...until about 3/4 of the way thru it suddenly turns into doom metal or something briefly, then changes back again.

Just stumbled onto this. Two vocalists I like a lot doing a collab. The singer from Blackbriar and the former singer from Delain (the founder of the band fired everybody else, then went out and replaced them including finding a new singer who sounds EXACTLY like the singer he fired).

That was nice, but I wish it'd got a bit more sizzling than it did. I love that song.

Went to see "Beautiful" in Everett the other day (Carole King Story). I thought the play was really well done and entertaining. Much of it was set a bit before my time but the breadth of what she wrote and how many songs I knew by heart was really astonishing.

Me, for years: "I wish Radiohead was less Radiohead-y and more Jonny Greenwood-y." The Smile: "Hold our damn beers."
Pitchfork wrote:
As far back as 2009, Jonny Greenwood was fed up with the faff of the world’s most studious stadium band. “He can’t stand it anymore, the pace of the way we work,” Thom Yorke said that year. Despite the guitarist and composer’s impatience, he was prone to obsessing over what Yorke called the “extra things”: the sly strings and choked squeals that thread razor wire into Radiohead’s pillowed luxury. “‘Come on, we need some wrong notes,’ he’s always saying. OK, you got ’em,” Yorke joked. But never have we heard Greenwood quite like this. On Wall of Eyes, the second album from the Smile, his hostile harmonies and expediency in the studio nudge the trio somewhere new; it is his most exciting and volatile performance since In Rainbows.
I can't wait for Wall of Eyes to come out.
