Hey you all. I am not marketing anything but am wondering if folks are aware of this educational jewel in Washington. Click into ncascades.org and look at their classes offered for this year. I manage to take about 1 class/year with them and have always been pleased. You will be in the field learning from experts, many of whom have a PhD in their discipline. You are guaranteed to increase the depth of your knowledge about the natural history of the area.
I very highly second Mike's recommendation for the North Cascades Institute. They offer outstanding courses of all types which are very well presented to both novice and advanced individuals. Check them out and get yourself set up for "summer camp".
Though I have never taken any such class, I pick up their catalog from time to time, and must say the 2002 one is very interesting: Natural History Seminars, ect.
