Saturday we sped off to the Last Resort just past Ronald WA and stomped our way up Hex Mountain. The road from 903 was compacted from snowmobile use. Two 'biles passed us that day, other than that we had the whole place to ourselves. The snow got deeper 1000' up and we donned snowshoes. Views from the top of distant peaks were darned nice. Sunday we sped off towards Darrington and stomped our way up Round Mt. The snow was the best I've stomped all year! Our friend Lynn was along, so we sang: She'll be coming round Round Mountain when she comes. She'll be coming round Round Mountain when she comes. She'll be looking at Whitehorse, she'll be looking at Whiteho-o-orse, she'll be looking at Whitehorse when she comes. Thus by accident, I was on Hex and Round. If anyone has ideas on other geometric locations, please reply!

Well, "point" is geometrical, so Panorama Point qualifies. Sorry for the no brainer, I'll try and think of a better one...Square Lake? airPLANE Lake? Is there an Angle Lake? Euclid name one of the unnamed tarns after something geometrical too. And of course Circle Lk, which some might call Great Circle Lk since it really is great.

Feel free to post one that fits the criteria, i.e. appropriately titled and doesn't encourage thread drift from the trip reports theme.

Oops, I get spanked for asking for more math peaks. Will be posting reports on WTA/P&P instead!

Not necessarily spanking anyone. Just trying to keep the trip reports section clean. If posts are not appropriately titled searching will be less than effective. Furthermore, the thread drift compounds the issue, i.e. somebody searching for Circle Lake will get non-relevant search results.

Doubt if you'll get much response on WTA, G. And P&P lacks a sense of immediacy. Does State Line (Idaho) qualify? confused.gif

Something lost behind the ranges. Lost and waiting for you....... Go and find it. Go!

How about Horseshoe Falls? And while mentioning Oregon, there is also Diamond Peak.

Angle Lake and Triangle Lake (aka Little Eagle Lake) are in King County. There's an Oval Lake in Okanogan County. There's plenty of Rainbow Lakes around, but they're porbably named for the trout, not the shape.

A fuxk, why do I not give one?
