This Saturday I decided to brave the snowmobile crowd and hike up to Keechelus Ridge. Much like last year it was a perfect day for a winter hike but this time I remembered to put sunscreen on my legs (those flashbacks sure can be helpful reminders)! After a quick lunch atop the rocky eastern terminus of the ridge, I spent an hour or more scoping the panorama to the north with binoculars and dreaming of potential summer hikes and high routes. The most breathtaking view from the ridge, however, has to be that of Kachess Lake to the east. It's a good thing the snowmobilers don't know what they're missing buy not getting off their hineys and hiking up that last steep 100 yards or I wouldn't have it all to myself . Hope you enjoy the rest of the pictures!
