What is the closest place to Seattle that one can get an Ilfochrome print made?

Ivey Seright still does them I think. Ilfochrome is the preferred process I use in my home darkroom. Expensive, chemical intensive, and tricky. But the results are unmatched once you master the process.

Didn't know you could do it in your own darkroom--sounds interesting. I'm not sure if Ivey has an Ilfochrome process. I think last time I asked they said they have a super glossy process that is their closest (it does give good results). I saw some cibachromes over the weekend that looked really sharp.

Polarbear- email me if you want more info on the Ilfochrome (formerly Cibachrome) process. Like any photo process, many variables go into making a print. I got tired of spending big bucks on having someone else do it only to find out they had a different concept in mind for the print (shading, contrast, dodge/burn, toning, color balance, etc) So I spent even bigger bucks on equipping my darkroom for the process and now can only blame myself for failures. Turns out you can master the process and get professional results if you stick with it. You learn to get good at it quickly, as materials and chemicals are expensive. But well worth it.
