I was reading about compact flash the other day. Of all the current manufacturers the Sandisk Ultra 2 card beat all others in speed by a long margin.
Here is where Im thinking about getting a 1mb card.

Does anyone (like Thomas) have a better place to buy?
Thanks.

AMazon has it for $204.74. Plus it is not backordered and from a reputable company. Not that that site necessarily isn't but you never know with some electronics websites.
I have to admit I'm surprised that SanDisk was well rated. They seem to have a rather poor reputation. I've always been happy with Lexar myself.
People get good results from SanDisk and other cheaper memory CF cards, yes. However every one of them I have heard of cases where there is a problem for someone. Lexar I've never heard this from...and I'm one of them as well: Lexar are excellent and very fast CF cards for my money.
But that's great if it did rate that well. I'll stick with what works for me however....
Hey, you can never have enough memory......
You have more than I do, so how can you say that Mr.?
Lexar hmm.
