Hey Backpacker. I'm a nice guy!! I won't be there as I'm headed out the door for up north. But please don't let that stop you. Pull a slight of hand and grab my name out. It's easy. Remember, I'm a nice guy!! My name is Newbie Newt. hehehe Have a good one folks and be safe. NN biggrin.gif

It's pretty safe to say that if we take all of man kinds accumulated knowledge, we still don't know everything. So, I hope you understand why I don't believe you know everything. But then again, maybe you do.

OK, I posted the bad news above. The good news (personally if not professionally) is the UW Law Library closed at 5:00 PM tonight, so I can't do what I thought I was doing tonight. I might be there smile.gif

Well, I certainly enjoyed meeting some folks and sharing the suds. And hey, thanks for the gators IBEX, my son will enjoy them as he doesn't yet have a pair. Now in a day or so, off to the hills for the next adventure...

It was a nice get together even though I didn't win the books. I learned what happens in art when the sublime is misinterpreted as the subliminal. lol.gif Speaking of which, why am I suddenly hungry for a coke and popcorn? Nice learning about some of the different routes people have been on. Happy 4th to all.

Yes, good times indeed. Polarbear how did you survive to the bitter end without ordering an MGD? lol.gif Allison, I'll pony up later for the sleight of hand wink.gif. Thanks again BPJ for the books - good thing I wasn't tossed earlier for bringing in some Harvey's pizza. IBEX, the eruzA Lake cliff daredevil, looking forward to pictures from that monster digicam of yours - hope it doesn't slow you down too much.

Beer and Pizza
I had a good time last night. It was fun to put a face to people I have corresponded with or just read about.

Thanks, McPilchuck. I always wondered what Mt. Pugh looked like so now I know. I didn't know you could see it from that ridge. Here's a little better picture, and also a picture I took as I was freefalling off Mt. Si. The nice thing about falling off Mt. Si is you don't have to worry about any helicopter rescue fees. The local townsfolk pick you up and dust you off when you land. Also thanks to those that paid for the food.

If you didn't have the routefinding skills, you probably didn't get any icecream, but it's a sherbet there was something for the intrepid.
