The North Fork of Sauk trail which takes you to White Pass had snow only in several large patches on Tuesday. The log crossing over Red Creek is dicey as a fall off the log would be the start of near drowning. The trail between 3,300' and 4,300' where it switchbacks up to the high country is totally covered with avalanche debris. You have to do this section in the adjacent steep forest. This peak comes in at 7,000' right on the border of Snohomish and Chelan counties with commanding views of both western and eastern Washington peaks. Great vantage spot for Sloan, Glacier, and the Monte Cristo peaks.
