I keep having to log on when I submit a post. Then I have to retype it. It even happened when just going to a different thread to view. Is this just me?

It's pretty safe to say that if we take all of man kinds accumulated knowledge, we still don't know everything. So, I hope you understand why I don't believe you know everything. But then again, maybe you do.

No problems here. I'd logout, close down your browser, and re-open.

What browser are you using. Also do you have the option checked to automatically log you in?

Gary, you're probably blocking the cookie that keeps you logged in by setting your security settings that high. I'd use the default security settings in IE for this site.

I've got IE 6. Automatic is checked. No security changes. Just started to happen a few hrs ago. I'll let you know if it happens again.

Ok, here's the deal. I find it happens most when posting or repling to a pm. I run spell checker first, then submit, and kablewie. Login. This just happened in a pm reply.

It works just fine with IE. With Opera I am logged off each time I leave. It was not that way until the last day or so.

You may want to check and see what url you use to reach the board. I had problems at first. This is the first time on the board since last night before the change in DB. I noticed right off that I was not logged in. Weird. I logged in and then closed my browser. I opened the browser and went to the site again. I wasn't logged in again even though I had the auto checked.
It turns out that I don't use a shortcut to connect. I just go to the address bar and type nwhikers.net (no www). Since the changes last night, I always have to log in if I go via this url.
But if I use www.nwhikers.net, no problems. I'm always logged in and all is cool.
If you are having problems retaining the login, try using www.nwhikers.net.

Ok, I think I fixed the problem. Try it out and let me know. Apparently I turned off the domain redirection (nwhikers.net => www.nwhikers.net) last night and forgot to turn it back on when I was done. Sorry about that!
