Looks like the OPA has things back Osseward. How shortsighted of them to waste more public funds blocking rebuilding of a previously existing road.

There is an article in the August Mountaineer about the Dosewallips River washout. It is on page M4 and is titled Do-si-do on the Dosewallips. Here is a quote from the article. "What tradeoffs are The Mountaineers prepared to make between recreational access and environmental protection? What is feasible? What is economic? What is legal? The Conservation and Recreation Divisions of the club will study the alternatives in the EIS and will prepare a recommendation for the board of trustees on the club’s policy position. To comment on the club’s policy position, send an e-mail to mountaineersconservation@mountaineers.org or to the board of trustees page of the website. Dale Hom, forest supervisor for Olympic National Forest, is the responsible official. For further information, contact Tim Davis, Project Leader, ONF, 1835 Black Lake Blvd. S.W., Suite A, Olympia, WA 98512, tedavis@fs.fed.us, 360-956-2375." If you want to read the entire article it is a pdf file and can be found here. Click on Monthly magazine and then on August 2007 I agree with MC. This thread should probably be in Stewardship.
