I enjoy them as well, but it certainly makes sense to put them all in one place rather than have them littered about in a million threads.
Think about it, how often will any of those threads be found or viewed once they leave the first page? Probably never again. This way, someone new who finds the consolidated thread will be able to go back to page one and read every freakin' article from Bryan's News of the Weird.
