Certainly NOT funny, but definitely strange and weird: Manatee in Florida found with Politician's name carved on back Definitely no shortage of "crazy" on the planet. In other news: Australia to kill pigeon that crossed Pacific Ocean I'd think they would have given the pigeon some sort of endurance award, but as rabid as I am about non-indigenous species, I understand fully their reasons for putting this animal down.

zephyr, ...that's a wild jet ski rescue clip. More context is shown here, before and after:
All three (surfer, rescuer, and jet ski) get eaten by the waves seconds later . . . (still, better off than 5 seconds earlier...)

Whoa. Thanks bk for adding that clip to show how it all began and ended. That makes the story more complete. I had thought the jet skier had managed to pull them to safety. There was just too much wave there to be withstood. And it was great to see that they eventually did make it to shore. Very good video. ~z
