I get to have KFC mashed potatoes, since I had a root canal this morning. Happy about KFC, ambivalent about the root canal. Glad I had it done, it doesn't really hurt so I suppose it's all good. I just feel sorry for myself when I have any dental work done, cause it sucks.

food? ugh!
I've decided that it's less eating that this pregnancy is making sound icky as it is cooking. Unfortunately, my husband, great grill master though he is, is not the all around cook that I am.

It might get better. I know my smell issue has nearly disappeared. It was like overnight. One day everything made me queasy, now hello!

Gal at work and I were talking about hunting & game meats and I mentioned I'd never had Elk before. She brought me two nice big pieces of Elk backstrap from a hunt her husband went on. I'm not sure what the best way to cook it is. I think I'll marinate one of them and grill it. Suggestions for the other?
