Hello everyone- I went up into the Lennox area today and was wondering if anyone had information on the cabin up around what I have heard is the "Pine Marten Claim" area. I love knowing more information on the areas that I visit- I found a website that has some older pictures (before the collapse) Here: http://www.2drx.com/2002/PineMarten/index.shtml
The mine was found near the Lennox Creek and Cougar Creek intersection- another item that I would love some history on- but maybe it is good to only hope for one item at a time
Here are pictures from today's trip: http://www.flickr.com/photos/28019912@N06/sets/72157630566981650/
Thanks much!
Here is an old thread on the area with good info
And another thread, with a picture of the Cougar Creek cabin.

The mine down by the confluence might be the Penny Prospect.

Pine Marten 2008, what does it look like now?
Thanks for the information- I had looked at those before pages previously and they didn't seem like they applied to this cabin as they are built differently. Also... if I am not mistaken- one is up the cougar creek valley, and the other one was up the Bare Mountain Trail.
Yea, I interpreted area a bit too wide. I believe the cabin is part of the Devils Canyon Mining Company ( the name as changed a few times).
Here is a map
Devils Canyon Claim Map
I threw some documents online for that group of claims here.
The map is out of pdf 3557
That is awesome- thanks for the information! I love knowing more about areas I visit- and it makes me sad when the cabins crumble away with their history.
