There have been several recent reports on this hike, with great photos, so all we need to add is that the fall color is exploding! We loved this hike! It starts at 3800 ft., and the steep trail quickly gets you into the high country. Lots of people on the trail today.
Silver forest. Minotaur. Near outlet. Chihuahua prints. Rock and red bushes K looking down on Theseus Lake/ Bright color! K and Lupe Bob crossing a meadow. Bob and Lupe Bob on summit of Labyrinth TrailPair on Labyrinth View toward Dirty Face, Lake Wenatchee K, Luis and Lupe on false summit of Labyrinth. Descending. Lupe and Luis in a meadow.

BTW, the book gives directions via Lake Wenatchee, but when coming from the west the Smith-Brook road is a much faster choice. The road (RS 6700) is in good shape.

I always enjoy your great photos, but Lupe is quite the scene-stealer (see Bob and Lupe pic ). You better have a word with him.

Nice color! It was a beautiful day yesterday, seems like lots of people were out and about enjoying the short weather window we were treated to - on a weekend no less!

I love that basin. I've only been there in the spring with snow. This looks even better.

That area is terrific in fall. Glad you got out there to enjoy it.
