We took advantage of the free day in the NP and went to Staircase. The trail is a lil soupy, but, it is Spring (or so they say ).
Snow takes over at 3.5 miles and there were no prints beyond that.
So, it's a nice shortish hike, but it's going to need some more time for all of you craving to get some miles in along the North Fork.
Sorry, no pics. My camera was having a hard time adjusting the sun and couldn't produce any nice pics to share.
3.5 mi .. just about at the junction with flapjack lakes? about what elevation is that?
i guess we'll be traveling on snow for a long time yet .. bummer
