recommended that I go to Steptoe because of the sweeping views.
I prefer Kamiak Butte. Beautiful trails and equal views.

I did come across Kamiak Butte in my research for the road trip I went on, but wasn’t sure how I would be able to work it in with what I had planned. It has camping, so I am thinking about working it in on my next Eastern Washington road trip and spend the night at Kamiak.

House Mountain from North Mountain (March 18, 2023)
After getting a look at this view of House Mountain (in Virginia) on March 18, I finally managed to go climb it yesterday. House Mountain has two summits, Big House and Little House. On my way up the former, which I tackled first, it was extremely misty/foggy. This had burned off by the time I went up Little House Mountain.

Huahine, Society French Polynesia. Not much hiking; it's all about the water.
Those kids aren't mine, but they ran into my photo and made it more interesting.

Pictures from the ranch: Sunday evening the sun peeked out from behind some clouds right before setting, creating an ethereal golden light.
This evening I found this adorable bunny asleep in my tall pasture grass. It opened its eyes when I took the picture, but it wasn’t particularly scared, just enjoying laying in the soft grass. I used my 60mm Moment glass lens with my IPhone 8 for this one.

Whimbrel - the closest any of them came was about 80' or so. My lens was a Panasonic 50-200 (100-400 FF).

Taken in the Staircase area of Olympic National Park yesterday. Hoping to get a trip report posted soon with more photos.

Isn’t Yellow Island restricted access, or am I thinking of a different place in the San Juan’s.
