Nothing fancy, just a chipmunk coming out of its home for an afternoon snack...

Is that an erratic, or did it roll down from somewhere up above?

Hard to say. It was very out of place, which caught my eye. There were no other boulders like that around. It was somewhere in the 3000-4000 ft range on the Chatter Creek Trail. I could see either scenario being possible.

From this morning: Otter Creek, West Virginia, surrounded by blooming mountain laurel. Summer at its best!
