Ben and I headed up Slide Mountain (6339') via Fawn Ridge after parking just past the Christian camp on road 7160 (blocked at that point; road is compact snow, but plowed to there).
The snow was pretty good for snowshoes, ranging from 6-12" of powder to crusty/icy, including some windblown spots on the upper ridge that were bullet hard. Overall good conditions though.
We found the route straightforward and really enjoyable. ~10.5m w/4200' gain
GPS and full photo set on my blog.

There were some cold shaded pockets on the way up where it felt like cold air was pooling, but up in the sun it was pretty warm (even if the air temp was freezing or just below).

Here's a photo of where you were, viewed from across the highway on Noble Knob the same day:

Nice. I miss that this winter, but it might be a good year for walking on top with boots, microspikes, or crampons as time goes by.
