Patchy fog in the straits lately. Take a look at today. Working up to Aug weather smile.gif

I'm looking at Hood Canal out my window right now. It looks like a large glacial lake. It is quite pretty. Hopefully this bloom won't cause many oxygen demand problems when it dies back. Thanks for the link, I didn't know what was causing the color change.

We saw this color in Kilisut Harbor on the way to Fort Flagler this weekend. Plausible that it was the same thing. It was remarkable - it looked like a Caribbean beach in the view from the road! Edit: Scow Bay - the southern extremity of Kilisut Harbor.
