If you're just using the crackers for dipping, a can of Pringles works pretty well, both for taking up little space (since they stack together) and light weight. Other than that, +4 on the naan

Was out shopping over the holiday for dip crackers a gluten-intolerant friend could eat. Stumbled on a variety at Whole Paycheck that could give Trader Joe's Seeds and Grains Crispbread Norwegian Crackers (mentioned upthread) some real competition: the brand name is "Mary's Gone Crackers", the "Super Seed Everything" variety. Brown rice/quinoa base, with 5 different seeds, plus onion & garlic powder besides just salt. No added oils of any kind, which seems unusual.

I like Mary's Gone Crackers too. My only hesitation for taking them hiking is they tend to break apart and turn into crumbs pretty easy (although their "Super Seed" version holds up a bit better). You can also buy these at PCC (always) or Costco (sometimes).

I'm price-checking MGC on my shopping trips now. $5/box at the Ballard Market and they were about that at Whole Foods (so, nearly $1/ounce, yipe). The cracker website has a store locator and supposedly they're also at Fred Meyer and QFC. If they show up sometimes at Costco, they'd be worth stocking up on. It would be great if Rubbermaid (et al) made a skinny no-crush tube in varied lengths similar to a Pringles can for this kind of stuff.
