One of my favorite hikes after Sunrise opens each year. When I arrived at the parking lot, the Mountain was socked in with low clouds. They were moving though, so I decided to head up to the lookout. I joined two other hikers and we set out. Trail is in great shape with tiny patches of snow early on that will be gone by mid week. The route up to the Burroughs has longer stretches of trail covered in snow.

Sure enough, as we rounded Frozen Lake, things began to clear off and Rainier began to peek through the clouds. Reaching the lookout, the clouds had cleared away and we were treated to a spectacular view of Rainier and all things west.
