I ran across this recipe a few months ago and have cooked it several times. It is now my favorite backpacking meal so I thought I would share. https://www.freshoffthegrid.com/backpacking-quinoa-chili/

I may not be the smartest, I may not be the strongest, but I don't want to be. I only want to be the best I can be.

Thanks for sharing! Just curious, given the abundance of backpacking chili recipes out there, what do you particularly like about this one?

I like that it uses quinoa and has pretty good calories for a light meal, I'm sure there are better but this is the best I've had.

The counterpoint to recipes is just eating manwhich cans cold. No spoon either, just drink them down out of the can like its a cup. Minimal prep, minimal clean.

Thanks for posting the recipe, I plan to try it, maybe add a bit of steak, I will let you know how it turns out.

Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.
