I remember Harvey Manning mentioning seeing a photo of a certain Washington peak on a travel brochure for the alps. I was perusing through Prime Video and saw the same mountain in the Colorado episode for State to State. Anyone recognize it?

I saw t-shirts in a gift shop in Rocky Mountain NP that also were "borrowing" Mt. Shuksan. Dammit Colorado, it's not like there are no mountain in your own state to use!

Can’t remember where I read this, but I read somewhere that it is the most photographed mountain in the world. I’m not sure if I believe that (seen the Matterhorn quite a few times and digital photography is probably a game changer as well) it probably is way up there.

Several years ago I spent one night in Bangkok. This was on the wall in our hotel room:

Knows literally nothing

Many years ago I saw a huge photo (from Picture Lk) covering a whole wall in the train station in Lima. Not like there aren't any mtns in Peru.

Here are three examples: I bought a book, "Canoeing in British Columbia", the cover photo was of a canoe on picture lake. Friends traveling to South America (I think Peru) saw a trash can with a Don't Litter sign that used a photo of Mt Shuksan. About 25 years ago my wife and I tried to take a seasonal family photo of ourselves at Picture Lake. It was not a success, but then we noticed that at a coffee shop in Flagstaff Az there was a wall mural that we could use to get a much better version of the same background.

When you are "miles from nowhere" you must have finally arrived at somewhere.

Here's a t-shirt I bought in Aspen Colorado. It's another shot of Mt. Shuksan. You'd think they could find a nice mountain in Colorado for the t-shirt like the nearby Maroon Bells.

Im going to have to rewatch the deer hunter. Pennsylvania's mountains rival Washington. I don't recall if they have a shuksanesque mountain. Can you name this movie?

They are definitely up on the north side of Mt. Baker for some of the filming. Can't remember if they have a shot of Shuksan in there or not.
