Better late than never. Had seen this traverse described a couple times here at nwhikers and wanted to check it out. Gave myself five days for this solo trip but ended up just using three. Day 1: Dosewallips road to Gray Wolf basin. Left car with bike at 7:30 AM and arrived at camp in upper gray wolf basin around 6 PM. Camped at the third small lake after leaving trail and heading towards pass to cedar lake. Way trail pretty easy to follow. Grouse at camp.

Day 2: Gray Wolf basin to Bear Camp. Broke camp at 8:30. Way trail continued into cedar lake basin and no trouble with route finding into the next basin. Started on the grassy sidehill traverse at 10:30 and to the bottom of the lateral moraine at 12:30. The moraine was pretty straightforward, a bit of a knife-edge at times and the hard packed rock made for difficult footing at times but not terribly steep or exposed. Took about 20 minutes to ascend the moraine. Walked up to summit 7018 N of cloudy pass before heading down into upper cameron basin. Back to the trail at 3:30. Was planning to stay in lost pass basin but missed the camp so headed for the dose. Dose meadows was pretty full so ended up arriving at bear camp by 7 PM.
