Maybe this should go in the "quote of the day" thread, but it fits here. It was a sign hung in the office of a dear friend, who was quite an accumulator:

What a coincidence! I have an old 10" Model 113 Craftsman table saw, capacitor start, that I bought used in 1980 or so. It seemed old even then, but over 40 years later, and after a lot of use, it still works perfectly and has the original motor (untouched).

You can say that again. I have an old Sears Craftsman 6" joiner that feels like it weighs enough to require a truck to move it but it hums like new after all this time - no chatter at all. I wish the original motor still worked but I swapped it with a good replacement and it will last way beyond my lifetime.
