Does anyone purchase this and if so, any company you can recommend?

There's probably better ones for just travel to Canada but before I retired I was working all over the world and I used International SOS.

So I have had Allianz Care primarily for evac, but the plan has basic emergence coverage. Last month while traveling in Canada I need to get some lab work, Regency said it would be out of pocket, but Allianz covered 80% no questions asked.

I used World Nomads for a trip to Japan in 2016, nothing bad happened, so no idea how good their claim service is. I used Allianz for a trip to Israel in 2014, that trip was cut short half way through when there was an unexpected death in the family back in Seattle. Allianz did cover the loss of the trip (air fare, tour fees, addition air fare for return trip, unexpected ground transportation back the Tel Aviv air port)

Years ago I spent a week skiing at Selkirk Snowcat Skiing. Don't remember the insurance I used at the time but now they recommend this company: https://uniglobespecialtytravel.com/travel-insurance-revelstoke-bc
