I just came back from a nice overnight in the Mt. Margaret wilderness. I heard this sound near ~Ghost~ lake. It doesn't sound like any bird I know and my bird sound ID app couldn't pick it up as a bird. I know that deer scream like this, but this sounds frantic. Any ideas? When I got closer to the lake and could actually see across I heard lots of big rustling and splashing, though did not see anything.
