fun in the sun. half of us were coming back from various body issues and all wanted a mellow trip. everyone had a great time. the swimming at sir richard's pond was very nice. one commented he thought the water might have been a touch too warm. is that possible in a mt lake? :>) 9.31mi 4167' gain 2:46 car to putrid pete's summit 0:16 summit stay 1:22 putrid pete's summit to defiance summit 0:04 summit stay 1:23 defiance summit to sir richard's pond 0:20 swimming * 1:48 sir richard's pond to car 8:00 car to car * side trip to sir richard's pond: going to: 0:20, swimming 0:20, returning from: 0:14 = total 0:54 equipment: swimming shoes

no. well, maybe if it's fed by a hotspring. so...no.
