I really like the first 1.5 miles the best. as it goes though all those ancient cedars.
The trail has been cleared of the downed logs that were there 3 weeks ago. And there is an all female WTA crew cutting out the ones that came down 2 years ago at the lake edge.
On my way out I passed a lot of folks who were planning on overnighting up there. Going to be a bit crowded. Some will go to Glacier Lk for sure.

Live every day like you will die to-marrow. For some day that will be true.

Wow good for them. We were there last year and that was a GIANT avalanche that had come down the previous winter. It had swept up and over a small hill that separates the lake from the avalanche slopes leading up to Trap Pass, and knocked over a wide swath of hundred-year-old trees like toothpicks. It was a big pain to get through.
