Ah, OK, thanks. I see it, as well as several other tiny fires, scattered around. This is one of the bigger unnamed fires. Kinda like the best minor leaguer. Once they name it, there is a symbol on the map, and it is easier to find.

Northwest Interagency Coordination Center says:
We only report on large fires in the NW. A Large Fire as defined by the National Wildland Coordinating Group, is any wildland fire in timber 100 acres or greater, and 300 acres or greater in grasslands/rangelands, or has an Incident Management Team assigned to it.
The fire up Brush creek and the one on Copper Mt have gotten a lot bigger in the last few days. It will probably get a name and more attention soon, if it keeps growing.

Thanks for sharing this. I was hoping that access to Whatcom would be possible from the east, but it sounds like I'll have to wait until a future season. I bet that Silesia, Egg, and Copper Lake are just as hard to get permits for as ever. It's still a great out-and-back even without the loop option.
