Does anyone know about the terrain from the Thunder Creek trail to the basins holding Moraine and Klawatti lakes? Is it nasty brush? How about getting up into Klawatti Lake? Moraine lake looks doable from that side.

the best way to klawatti lake, IMO, is via lucky pass (between primus and tricouni) then, connect to moraine lake or, wait for stable snow and ski down to moraine from eldorado side. note that lucky pass access is, i think, still out b/c of a broken bridge across thunder ck

A decade or so ago, thinking we could stay in the timber on the S side, we got about a mile up the W Fork before deciding that route would be epic beyond our time and interest.
