Decided to do something a little different on this drizzly Monday - check out a couple urban trails that didn't sound too terrible. Manchester Preserve is OK but nothin' to write home about. Del Mar Mesa is much bigger & more interesting, mostly due to the lg scrub oak & manzanita along the Tunnel 4 Trail.

It takes a bit to get to the nitty gritty of this place - one has to skirt the edges of an overpriced housing community first. I often wonder how often the ppl who live in those houses actually utilize the trails in their backyard.
