I only head up to Palomar Mtn. every once in awhile cuz it's a long drive, there's a fee to pay, & it's fairly crowded. But, a hiking partner wanted to check out some trails & get in one more higher-elevation hike before our Sierra trip, so we made a go of it. Once again it was a hot day but @ least a good portion of the trails were shaded.
