Pt. Defiance Park Service Road Photo Tour! WooHoo! 10/23/22 This is the Pt. Defiance Park Service Road I refer to in the other thread. I thought it would help to post some photos of the area. This is a little photo tour, starting at the south end of the park Service Road, and ending at the north end. The "Spine Trail" is the long straight trail which bisects the peninsula.

When I was little, we went to visit our adopted auntie who lived in Tacoma. She took us to Pt. Defiance. All I remember is a penguin, and playing in tunnels in the brush. For us E. WA desert raised kids, those tunnels were the best part.
Saw her house was up for sale a couple years ago, and all her beautiful yardwork was gone. That's sad. She was a botanist at heart so had a large assortment of native plants growing and well cared for.

What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human––animals and aliens are great possibilities
