I don't know if this subject has ever been done on this website before, but I was wondering what people's favorite high country/alpine campsites/spots are in the Cascades or Olympics.
I'd have to say mine are (mostly in the Olympics):
Grand Pass or the unnamed peak SW of Grand Pass
The campsite with the rock wall around it just above the trail in elevation as the trail crests Del Monte Ridge on the way to Constance Pass
Graywolf Pass
The unnamed peak South of Marmot Pass
And the one spot I've been to in the Cascades:

jimmymac might suggest that the summit of Mt. Maude qualifies as a high country alpine camp site.

On the ridge connecting to Wonder mt, just above (to southwest) of the upper Wonder lake in Olympics are remains of a campfire and flat site affording panoramic views of the southern Olympics including South Skokomish Valley, six ridge and beyond to the north-NW, and to the northeast the sawtooths of Cruiser, Lincoln, etc above Flapjack lakes basin. Campsites by the upper lake are nicer, and that's where the only water is, but that ridge site is spectacular.

I'm sure you will get a ton of responses for this question. Here are a few of my favorite high camps in the Cascades (not in any particular order):
The Lunch Counter On Mt Adams
Robin Lakes, Alpine Lakes Region
Black Buttes on Mt Baker
Sahale Arm at the base of the Sahale Glacier
Massey Lake
High Camp near the Easton Glacier on Mt Baker
The ridge above Ice Lakes adjacent to Mt Maude
There's a few to start with

I like the campsite right inside Split Rock, on the PCT near Goat Crest and Old Snowy Mtn. The rock-sheltered site a bit up the hill is probably the highest on the PCT in Washington, since it is almost at the highest point on the PCT. Both are about 7,000 ft elevation, SR a bit lower, the sheltered site a bit higher. Water is available from melting snow most of the summer. Pics:

- Strawberry Point on the Olympic coast. Well, I thought it was "high country" - above the high tide line at least. I think somebody reported it was trashed by winter storms. That would be a shame. Olympic Beach Hike
- On the ridgeline above Heart Lake near 7 Lakes Basin, or Cat Creek Basin, or Appleton Pass.

I love the heather bench with su-weet valley view at the outlet of Elcric Lake. One time I snoozed 10-12 continous hours there without waking; awesome.

All-time favorite is the wonderful flat spot on top of Point 5443 overlooking Ice River basin, about a mile ENE of the main Ice River Glacier.
A very, very close second place is the isolated end of the northerly spur of Mount Hopper and the absolutely pristine basin below Point 5642. The view is sublime looking down the meadows and rock gardens to some jeweled lakes and into the Crazy Creek and Duckabush valleys.

The pictures say it all.
