As I have done since 2016, I did an #optoutside hike on the day after Thanksgiving. I usually go to Monte Cristo and attempt to go to Silver Lake. But I found out that Mountain Loop was already closed. And the weather was looking like rain. So I picked a hike close but high up. Since Stevens Pass ski area was not yet open, I decided Lake Valhalla would be a good choice.
My trip report is on WTA's site here.

Trail is too narrow for big snowshoes
Best piece of gear on a day like this was, as usual, OR Seattle Sombrero.
