Years ago, at least one feature writer for either the Times or the PI was around for a little while, but someone pissed him off and he hasn't been back since. doh.gif I can't remember his name; the humor guy. It wasn't funny at the time, but it sorta is now.

I can't believe I missed this post, sorry for my tardy response. I go way back to the old Trail Talk along with some other oldtimers around here. Due to physical issues I don't hike as much as I used to, and when I do it's usually a day hike to a lake. But I poke my head in every once in a while. Hope everyone is doing well. Cliff

Thanks Tom, Anne Elk and anyone else who helps make this lively electronic village hum. A lot of good information, and a lot of good vibes get passed along here. And that is a very good thing.

Thanks Eric. Damian and I help out as needed, but Tom deserves all the credit: for the great site design, upgrades and most of all, high standards.

From my humble beginnings in 2010 I am thankful this site continues to flourish. It's the best website for making efficient trip reports out there.

Ron Judd. He was a Times humor writer who used the outdoors as one of his many backdrops. I think someone here dissed him, after mistaking his column as serious hiking advice, given by an unqualified lightweight.

If it's this Ron Judd, looks like he logged on to respond to a snarky comment. But unless he deleted some posts, he spent 3-4 days on site with 5 postings and then lost interest.
