MOTUS is an irregularly located system of an antennae that record when an appropriately tagged bird flies into there vicinity. I bumped into it on the Billy Frank Refuge website. Click on the ‘view a larger map….’ and it shows estimated coverage areas. The Nisqually station only went up last summer. You can click on individual birds of the table and see a map of where and when the system next observed them. Hint - They cover a lot of territory in a short amount of time. Mostly N & S, but one bat flew up from CA then turned E to near Montreal for the winter I guess. Yes, I know a bat isn’t a bird.
