This is probably only of interest to those that are beach walkers but the tides are really impressive in the next few days & the highest I've seen since we moved to a beach on Whidbey 8 years ago. Tonight we're going to have a low tide of -3.4 feet followed by a high tide in the morning of 13.65 feet. Around Christmas we had the highest tides of 2022 coupled with a low air pressure system that resulted in a 15 foot tide at my house. Our neighborhood had a protective dike fail and we had 4-5 feet of that water sweep through the neighborhood.

Just extraordinary. Did your home sustain much damage?
We were lucky and only had our driveway wash away and our tool shed was submerged. There was a couple of million dollars worth of damage to my neighbors, including 8 cars & trucks destroyed by salt water.
