SHORT TERM /TODAY THROUGH TUESDAY/...The main message this
morning is this very cool for this time of year air mass over the
area is not going anywhere in the next week. The 1000-850 mb
thickness values remain under 1300 meters all week. The 925 mb
temperatures remain at or below 0C all week. These are just a
couple of the variables we look at for precipitation type and with
these readings it will keep the possibility of snow in the
forecast at times for the entire 7 days. Seattle has already had
13 days in a row with below normal high temperatures. Confidence
is pretty high we will see at least another 10 days in a row. See

Read the full morning discussion. This fellow Felton seems to be the best of NWS Seattle forecasters and says he would not be surprised if snow levels at the surface were common all this week. That said it is late February and it will probably melt off in the daytime hours.
