Any idea when the Twisp River Road might be driveable (with or w/o chains or 4WD) to the Mystery Campground, a few miles before road's end? Thanks

Based on 40+ years…. In years past May 1 was always the date I figured you could drive in 2 wheel drive to Roads End. Plus or minus. Mystery Camp maybe a bit earlier. BUT, the 2018 Crescent fire removed much vegetation adjacent to the road - so that might mean a bit sooner, now? This year, who knows….seems like it will be later - there is still snow around Twisp. But significant warming in April changes things. Yeah, May 1, maybe a bit before.
