Over the last few years, I've enjoyed finding lake routes for my pack rafts, but I'm also finding I look at maps differently now. There's an interesting stretch of the Yakima River between Keechelus and Easton. Has anyone tried or scouted this for rafting?

American Whitewater lists sections of the Yakima further downstream. I've done it from Cle Elum to Thorp. Also from the Cle Elum dam to Cle Elum. My recollection is of others description of running from the Stampede Pass road bridge down to Lake Easton was that the section is "woody" , numerous downed trees in the river that require either tricky navigation or portaging.

Thanks. I was afraid that might be true. Seems like a pretty section, but maybe not worth the risk.
