I was dragged along for a business trip to Colorado Springs for a few days and had nothing but free time. The Manitou Incline is 0.9 miles but gains 2020'. I figured I'd test myself and get to see some new mountains. It's basically like walking up stairs of different grades and strides. Good views of a place called Garden of the Gods, which looks just like the Cars ride at Disneyland. Took me 45 minutes to the top. The trail loops back to the bottom through a three mile stretch of switchbacks. Coming down I caught my toe on a rock and cramped up hard in my right leg catching my balance. The last half mile to the parking lot was the hardest part of the hike.
