Two years ago we walked through the ruins of a 16th century castle. That gave me the idea to spend the night in one. Well that castle is now blocked off.. But we this found this 12th century ruin. After 800 years there's much left. This is Rait Castle near the village of Forres. Built by Clann Cummings . The story goes that the Cummings invited the Mac Intosh's over to make peace: with the idea of slaughtering them. But the Cummings daughter was in love with a Mac Intosh (sounds very Shakespearian)and spoiled her dads surprise. So when the Mac Intosh's showed up; the battle began, inside this castle. The Cummings chief run upstairs to find is daughter trying to escape out a window, He cut both her hands off and she fell to her death.
I wish we could say that we got visited by a handless lass. But no such luck.

Live every day like you will die to-marrow. For some day that will be true.
