Alleged Sockpuppet!

Yesterday, public radio mentioned that our military is not happy with Boeing. Apparently they've found garbage left in aircraft including the little plastic tequila bottles--empty, in delivered aircraft.

What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human––animals and aliens are great possibilities

The Boeing malfunctions continue, but not on a 737 this time: Boeing plane makes emergency landing in Miami after engine malfunction
The NY Times wrote:
A Boeing cargo plane headed for Puerto Rico was diverted back to Miami International Airport shortly after takeoff when an engine failed, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. The episode is another potential setback for Boeing, which has been thrust into the spotlight in recent weeks over quality control concerns. Atlas Air Flight 5Y095 landed safely after experiencing an “engine malfunction” shortly after departure, the airline said early Friday. Video taken from the ground appeared to showed flames repeatedly shooting from the plane as it flew.

I saw that the 737MAX fiasco has already cost them over $20B. Which begs the question: did they pad their profit margin by abandoning their trained workforce in the PNW for lower-cost places like South Carolina and Kansas?

I was almost crying laughing at the SNL skit, but also hoping none of those poor passengers saw it.

https://airwaysmag.com/boeing-renton-mis-installed-plug/ "A Boeing whistle blower say's mechanics on the company's Renton final assembly line removed the fuselage panel that blew off on Jan 5th and then reinstalled it incorrectly". I know that this will offend some Boeing workers that are members here and I know that there is a lot of incompetence in this and other countries work forces, but to me it seems that Boeing has maybe a few more than average. But of course they do employ a lot of people and workers will make mistakes, but how do things like this get past the inspectors and supervisors?

Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.
