Well, I know practically everyone under the sun has done this hike, but if you haven't, you really must. The trail's in great shape, though I'm sorry to report that the FS hasn't fixed that annoying little 600' elevation drop between Virgin and Blanca. You'd think those fees should go for something....
No snow on the trail , all dried out. If you haven't been there lately I'm happy to report that the lake is still that amazing shade of glacial-till seafoam green. Admire thae lake, and ignore its pet glacier, which is a filthy mess.
More people that I'd expect on a weekday, saw maybe 8 total.

Haven't done that hike in years. The lake was impressive. The one thing I really remember that took away from the hike was the crowds and the bugs. How was the bug situation? We were over at Evergreen Lookout today. It was a great day....but the bugs were real bad
