Not sure on #1, but #2 is a gentian.

I agree. I think it is Mountain Wallflower, Erysimum arenicola.
Those are great shots. I especially like #3.

Thanks for all the feedback. At least I know the name for one of those three flowers. Mt. Townsend is a remarkable place for unusual flowers

#2 is Oval Leaved Buckwheat - Erigonum ovalifolium
#3 is Scouler's Valerian - Valeriana scouleri
I'd love to see more if you have any. I agree about Mt. Townsend. It is a great place to see flowers. And the views are also great.

Marta, thanks for your identification. Sorry, I don't have any additional photos, but I have all intentions to return this July to Marmot Pass for flowers endemic to the Olympic Mountains.

The slopes at Ebeys Landing is one location where these rare species of paintbrush exist. Yes, it is a differnet variety than you are speaking of I'd guess.
Nice camas fields!

Got this one in Enchanted Valley last weekend. Popular place
EValley
Long since I've been amongst majestic peaks
nor side mirrored lakes where awe so speaks.
Blanketed valleys the dawn awakes and blinking stars to fade.
My soul is called to see these things, the Hand of God has made.

Now I'm PO'ed. I just got back form there and had literally scoured the hills looking for some. Mass amounts ready to open within the next week tho.
Found a grove of Hedgehog cactus that would make Alan's forest look pretty puny. Sorry Alan. It really boiled down to which ones to photograph. Pics will come.
Nice weather on the other side. I'm sunburnt.

It's pretty safe to say that if we take all of man kinds accumulated knowledge, we still don't know everything. So, I hope you understand why I don't believe you know everything. But then again, maybe you do.

I have only come across Tweedy Lewisia two times. Both times I was with someone who could ID it. I found several clumps along the Devils Gulch trail yesterday which looked suspiciously llike it. Unfortunately, my photos turned out crappy. Can Alan, Marta, or anyone else confirm if this is or is not Tweedy?
Tweedy Lewisia?
