I went with Rainier Mountaineering when I summited in 1997. People gripe that it is a cattle train to the top, but I thought they did a great job--it was a fantastic experience! up.gif

I went with RMI in 1986. I took the week long mountaineering class culminating on the summit. I had a great time and met some interesting folks from all over the country. I went with two other friends on the trip. We got pretty chummy with our guides and after the trip we were invited to a party at Lou Whittaker's house. One of the guides let us borrow his rig for a couple days because we were car less and had some time to kill before flying back home. That was a trip I'll never forget. RMI is a pretty good outfit.

Let me stand next to your fire
