I plan to backpack along Baker Lake August 7-9.
Nothing tough, just a laid back outing enjoying the views, maybe take some pictures, read a bit, swim a bit, hike a bit if I feel like it out from the camp ground.
No need to prove my worth in elevation or duration, just focus on enjoying it.
My wife is not much in to tent camping and the kinds live out of state, so it could be nice with company for all or just part of the time.
A nice sunset, a book and a bit of wine goes a long way when you are in a pretty place.
So if you are interested please drop me a line.
I love Baker lake, but I work every other weekend, and that is my work weekend.
I don't usually hike there, though, as I am a canoe fanatic, and the canoeing there is awesome.
Of course canoers and hikers can still share a campsite and also do a car shuttle for a thru hike rather than hiking out'n back.
